Your next idea starts with a name.
Mosshatch pairs domain names with creatures in a living grove. Explore a name for your project, see what it hatches, and give the idea a personality before you launch it.

From a name to a creature
- Explore a name. Type your idea into the grove. The public preview asks the public registry whether the name is registered. A result is a check, not a reservation.
- Choose an egg. Pick an extension that looks unregistered and hatch its creature. Different names produce different creatures, traits and portraits.
- Keep the inspiration. Download the portrait and join the waitlist with the name you tried. Confirm your email, then watch for an invite when it is your turn.
What can I do today?
Anyone can explore the public preview without an account or payment details. Domain registration is invite-only. A practice hatch does not buy, reserve or protect a name, and someone else may register it.
Is Mosshatch a domain registrar?
Mosshatch is a domain reseller. The creature experience sits alongside domain registration; it is not proof of ownership. Read about the registrar of record and your rights.
What will a domain cost?
The Fees page lists the invite-only test prices, registration periods and renewal amounts. Launch prices will be published there before public registration opens. Joining the waitlist is free and does not commit you to a purchase.
Can I use a name I already own?
You can explore names in the public preview, but it does not connect or transfer a domain you own. Transfers are part of the invited experience, subject to eligibility. A domain that is already registered will appear as taken.
Does joining save my name?
No. The optional name on your waitlist entry tells us what you are interested in. It is not a reservation. Your place on the waitlist is confirmed only after you use the email confirmation link.
What happens to my searches and email?
We do not log or sell your searches. Availability checks go to the public registry. The waitlist uses your email to confirm your place and send your invite and product news, with a one-click leave link. Read our commitments and waitlist privacy note.
