Privacy notice
Counsel is drafting this document. Until it is published, this page only lists what it will cover. Nothing here is a promise, a term of sale or legal advice.
What it will cover
- The data we hold, why, and the legal basis for each use.
- Who receives it: the registrar partner, the registry, the escrow agent and our service providers.
- How long each kind of record is kept, and the limits on erasure that registration rules impose.
- What a public card on hatchkind.com shows, and how to take it down.
- How to ask for a copy of your data or for its deletion.
- Our policy for legal requests (the legal-process request policy).
How the preview works today
- To show whether a name is already registered, our server asks the registry's public RDAP service. The registry sees the name, not your address. We don't write your searches to our database or logs; see our commitments.
- Registrant contact details are encrypted field by field, under a key apart from the vault.
- A public card shows the domain name, its creature's traits and the hatch date. It never shows your name, email or any text you typed.
